What is depression?

Depression is a mood disorder that causes persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest. 
Depression is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how a person feels, thinks, and handles daily activities.

  • Sleep disturbance, Lack of interest or pleasure in doing things you used to enjoy,
  • Feeling guilty or having thoughts of worthlessness
  • Low energy level or fatigue
  • Difficulty with concentration or attention 
  • Poor appetite or weight changes
  • Psychomotor disturbances
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Depressed mood.
